Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Maud Karpeles
Letter No.: VWL4789
[late June 1925]
My Dear Maud
Thankyou vy much for your letter & the delightful tune.
I fear I must bother you once again – would you in a spare moment look up Mr Sharp’s1 original agreements with Novello over the “Folk-songs of England” series (e.g. Hannams2 book) & see what the exact clause is about printing the tune otherwise than with them.
How important do you think it is that I shd attend the General Council meeting?3
Yrs very sincerely
R Vaughan Williams
