The White Gates,
Dorking.

About June 6th [1940]

Dear Miss Fell

Please forgive war-time paper. Many thanks for the glasses – I am so sorry you had all that trouble.
I enjoyed Miss Mace’s songs very much – she was good all through and superb in one or two.
I am very sorry I had to run for my train.1
Yours sincerely

R. Vaughan Williams
