Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Maud Karpeles

Letter No.: VWL4893

From R. Vaughan Williams,
10, Hanover Terrace,
Regents Park,
London, N.W.1.

December 25th 1954.

Dear Maud,
Thank you very much for the lovely handkerchief and the carol.
Now to business. You may remember that you wrote me a letter about Cecil Sharp and the old dancer, which I quoted in one of my letters lectures. The Cornell authorities now say that they must have your leave before they can print it. Would you mind writing to me to that effect? End of business.1
Love
Ralph
