Dear Imogen
Thank you 1000 times for your dear telegram.1
I do want to meet you soon & hear about Hollywood.2
Have you seen Fritz Hart – he wants to meet his godchild so much. I heard about you from Mrs Davison.3
Love from
Uncle Ralph
1. Presumably of birthday wishes from the USA – VW had been 64 on 12th October.
2. Imogen Holst had been in the USA since mid-August and returned on 5th or 6th October. She had been staying in Hollywood with her uncle, Emil von Holst (the actor Ernest Cossart, whom VW had met in 1932 – see VWL1032 and VWL1024).
3. Hart had been asking about how to get in touch with Imogen Holst – see VWL551. Mrs Davison was the wife of Archibald Davison, on whom see VWL1017.
