I rather think that the tune you sent me comes out of Stanford’s first volume of Irish Airs. I cannot find my copy at the moment, but it is the first one, (which is dedicated to Brahms,) and he probably got the tune from either Petrie or Joyce.
Of course the doggerel to which it is set is by A.P. Graves.
