I have delayed long in writing to thank you for your interesting and discriminatory article in the “Freeman”.² It serves to remind me of the delightful days I spent in Norfolk,³ & of the pleasure of having made your acquaintance & that of Mrs Mason, to whom please give my kind regards as well as from my wife.

1. American composer, teacher and author. His teaching career was spent at Columbia University from where he retired in 1942. He was an Assistant Professor at the time of this letter.
