Dear Mrs Stoeckel

Now we have left I must write once again to try & express all that your great hospitality meant to us at Norfolk1 as well as the great honour I felt it to take part in your wonderful festival. We had a delightful time in Boston and a beautifully restful journey both to N. York & from there to Philadelphia. Now we are in a delightful quiet farm house surrounded by rolling hills which reminds me strongly of England. I can’t tell you how kind and thoughtful Mr Stoeckel2 was to us on our expedition.
Thank you very much for forwarding the letters.
With best wishes from us both.
Yours very sincerely

R. Vaughan Williams
