Dearest Ann

I have wanted to tell you how we enjoyed that Sunday afternoon visit from South Hawke.  It was lovely to see Frances & I have had a dear letter from her since then – When you do write again tell me something about Michael?  I must call him that as I didn’t grasp any other name – We liked him so much – R must be in better trim for April 8th2– It is a case of up & down with him – a dry cough that won’t go – No wonder with fog & east wind persisting as it does.
The daffodils were a delight & of course the eggs made wonderful breakfasts & suppers.  Ranmore is white with sweet violets – that is how it is reported to me!  I have had bunches given to me –
I want very much to know how the feet are doing and I long to hear that you can rest a little more now –
Love from us
