Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Ruth Charrington
Letter No.: VWL172
13 Cheyne Walk
S.W.
[October 1909]
Dear Miss Charrington
I am perfectly disgraceful not to have written to you before – please forgive me – my only excuse is that I shall not see Mr Schwiller1 till Friday when I will ask him – these things are done better by word of mouth – I don’t think Miss Stack or Miss Fletcher2 need be asked to the examination – as I shall reserve the right to let a member in whom I think good enough even if they don’t pass – this for nervous members!
Yrs sincerely
R. Vaughan Williams
