THE LETTERS OF RALPH VAUGHAN WILLIAMS

Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Mrs Turner

Letter No. VWL443

Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Mrs Turner

Letter No.: VWL443

May 11th [1918]

Dear Madam1

I was very glad to receive your letter and am happy to be able to tell you that your husband is all right again.
I consider it the duty of every officer to do all he can for the welfare of those under his command; I have been in the camps myself and know what a hard life it is.
I hope that before long we shall all be back with our families and that this dreadful separation will be over.
Yours truly

R. Vaughan Williams
2/Lt R.G.A.2
