With reference to your letter of the 17th.

– I should not be prepared to conduct a whole concert at Margate – But if the management cared to invite me to conduct one or two of my own compositions as part of a concert (as I did last year) I should be happy to accept. My fee for this wd be £10.10.0.1

I am free on Sept 21st.2

2. It appears VW did not in fact conduct at the Margate Musical Festival in September 1923 (see report in The Thanet Advertiser, Saturday 22 September 1923, p. 2. He had conducted his A London Symphony at the previous year’s festival (see VWL499).
