June 12 [1928?]

Dear Margaret

Of course I shall be delighted for you to come to St Paul’s Girls School at 11 o’clock next Saturday – as you are, so to speak, part of the show – But as the music is in a very unfinished state still I should not care to have anybody there who is not directly concerned in it – 1
Thank you very much about July 7th – Adeline thanks you too but it is impossible for her as she is still too lame. As regards myself I will keep it in mind but may I be allowed to leave it open?
Yours very sincerely

R. Vaughan Williams

1.  Presumably a play-through of the music for Job.  Vally Lasker, almost certainly one of the pianists on this occasion, made the pianoforte arrangement of the score published in 1931.
