2. Letters in the Trevelyan archive (at Trinity College Cambridge) from 1938 refer to a fund to secure the safety of the conductor and musicologist Henry Swoboda and his family, who fled from Prague in the face of German occupation. By February 1939 Swoboda was conducting the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.
