It was very sweet of you to write – & it recalled our lovely time together.
I hope what you say of P.P.¹ has some truth in it (Do you approve of the comedy scene (By-ends)?)
I fear Saturday is no good as I have been summoned to a F.U.² meeting at Guildford. Also Honorine’s³ Boy Friend is coming for the day! Do get Kenneth to take you on a nice drive.

3.  Honorine Williamson, niece of R.O. Morris, who was living at The White Gates, at this time. She married Bernard Brown, a trumpeter, and was killed in an air-raid a few months later.
