I believe that my “Flos Campi”2 is being done at a B.B.C concert shortly. Would it be possible for me to attend one of your choral rehearsals? I should much like to hear the work in course of preparation.

Robinson wrote to VW on 30th January: ‘I must say when we first started to rehearse the work we were very puzzled, but our pleasure has increased with our understanding & we are really looking forward to the performance tomorrow night’.
