Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Daniel Gregory Mason

Letter No.: VWL867

From R. Vaughan Williams,
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.

August 19 [1930]

Dear Mr Mason

I have this moment received your letter. You will see by my address that we no longer live in London.1
I shall be up in London for rehearsal2 on Thursday morning and it would be a great pleasure to come and call on you both so I gratefully accept your kind invitation to lunch that day. My wife will not be coming to London in the morning and asks me to say how sorry she is to miss you.
I will come punctually at 1 if I may as I have to get down to Dorking again between rehearsal and performance.
Yours sincerely

R. Vaughan Williams
