1. Diana organised the Stinchcombe Musical Festival in Dursley, where VW and Herbert Howells were judges and conducted the afternoon concert on April 5. VW opted for the Brahms Requiem; the other work was Handel’s Saul. For another letter see R.V.W. : biography, p.194 .
