Alas & alas – I fear there is very little chance of Gloucester for me – though I am really getting on v. well.
I was looking forward to your dear suggestion & asking you to come and fetch me –  but any how that is not to be – as if I come at all it will only be on Monday when you will be hard at work Roothaming¹
