Westcott Road,
Dorking.
[About 10th September 1934]
Dear Maud
Alas! I fear there is no chance of my coming. I have to stop in bed any way until Friday – so I certainly could not travel on Saturday.
– I was looking forward to it so much
I did so like seeing you on Sat. – & I’ve read all Nevinson’s book – much of it very good – some not so good.2
