Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Douglas Lilburn
Letter No.: VWL1417
From R. Vaughan Williams,
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.
[20 April 1940]
Dear Lilburn
Many thanks for your letter – at all events you have had the satisfaction of hearing your work well played – which is all one can expect of a ‘Choral Natorio’! The conduct of your ctee is, as I should expect, beyond words – who are they by the way?
I wish I could have heard it but I did not realize the date.
I hope you will be able to return to R.C.M.1 next term
Yrs
