Dear Miss Glasgow¹

Many thanks for your letter.
I have already had a talk with Mr. [Tom] Harrison and have written him a letter which I have asked him to pass on to you. I shall be happy to help all I can —The difficulty at Dorking at present is a hall. I think we can get one of the cinemas for a Sunday afternoon. I am waiting to hear from the manager about it. I like the idea of an orchestral concert with a singer. Would December 15 be a possible date—or is that too short notice? Otherwise I think we should have to wait till after Xmas. My suggestion is that you shd send down the orchestra, soloist etc—also bills & posters for distribution and we will secure a hall if possible & see to the local advertising & ticket selling. I am all for cheap seats & I personally would like to let the troops in free, but I believe that does not come into your scheme.
