My Dear

RVW

1. Enclosed was an apparently revised published code assigning stock phrases to a sequence of numbers from 1 to 142 for use in war correspondence. The numbers used by VW are assigned the following phrases:
32: All my love, dearest;  42: Kisses;  43: Love  & kisses. On the code itself he marked 6 (‘Letters and parcels received, many thanks’) and 38 (‘Loving greetings from all of us’).
