Dear Gerald
“Dies” is lovely1 – we were all much moved last night – the nuisance was that it set me thinking of all my sins of omission. I still prefer the soprano – it gives a lightness of quality which the Tenor cannot have (I thought E. G.2 was very good all the same – though I thought he took No. 5 too quick).
