My Dear Dorothy1
This is to welcome you to England – Not a very gay welcome on my part. My wife died yesterday – she was wanting so much to meet you – and now it will not be. All the same I shd like it so much if you could find time to come down here for an afternoon – I am wanting so much to see you in real life.
Love from
Uncle Ralph
