1. The Sixth Symphony (Catalogue of Works 1947/3).  Wednesday was actually the 21st. The rehearsal was on Tuesday the 20th, not Wednesday (see VWL2592). The first performance of the Sixth Symphony was given in the Albert Hall on the Wednesday evening and broadcast on the Home Service.
