Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to John Tindall Robertson
Letter No.: VWL2604
From R. Vaughan Williams,
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.
[October 1952?]
Dear Tyndal Robertson1
It was very nice to get a letter to remind me of the old days at Maresfield – you were a boy then and I was middle aged – now you are middle aged and I am old & toothless – But it doesn’t seem to make much difference.
Yrs ever
R. Vaughan Williams
1. John Tindall Robertson had been a cadet with VW at the Royal Garrison Artillery Cadet school at Maresfield.
