March 14th 1954
Dear George
Here is a photograph of the Log Book.1 I am sending one to each representative of the party.
The work was done as a friendly act through a friend of ours and I think the photographer would like to have a letter of thanks signed by all of us. I am sending this to George Trevelyan, and asking him to send it on to you, and you to be good enough to stick on the label enclosed, for Ralph Wedgwood.
George Trevelyan thought that we might give the original to Trinity Library, if you approve of this idea will you tell him?
Yrs

1. The log book of the reading party at Seatoller, Easter 1895. Trevelyan, who held the original at this time, gave it to UVW in 1959 and she in turn presented it to the British Library in 1995, where it is MS Mus. 163.
