June 10th [1954]
My dear Michael,
Saturday afternoon, July 17th – in the Cathedral – I think 3 pm, but I’ll know for certain by the time we meet at Cheltenham. We are only staying one night, as Thursday & Friday aren’t much fun. We’re hoping to put in two nights at Stratford but seats are a problem. However we’ve written a personal SOS to Tony Quayle,1 who I used to know when I was at the Vic.
Much love from us both, & we’ll send more by John2 on Sunday!
Ursula.
1. The actor Anthony Quayle.
2. i.e. John Barbirolli.
