Dear Frank,

A certain Miss Cartwright and a Mr Davis are considering producing my Bridal Day at Chelsea College, Eastbourne, next year.  He does the music and she the choreography.  They are very intelligent and knowledgeable, and you can safely put the work in their hands.  She borrowed the full score from the B.B.C. but as it apparently belongs to you I have told her to return it to you on Monday.  She wants to keep the pianoforte copy, the B.B.C still have the band parts.  (She has brought in the score: (have it downstairs)
Now another point: would it be a good plan to do a little commercial travelling while I am in America?  and take some samples with me?  Or is it already being efficiently done by your American branch.  If I do take some, what? Anway, I should like to have six copies of This Day (at my expense of course) to give away myself.  If your American branch have copies perhaps they could supply me from there which would save transmarine porterage on my part.  My address will be, c/o Department of Music, Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y.
