Sorry to worry again – But I cannot bear the nauseous hypocritical sentiment of Mary on p.241 – Nor can I bear the Wardour Street of “Man”1
Perhaps at some future time we could substitute the above – But it is not important.

The letter was apparently enclosed with VWL3125, written following the broadcast performance of Hugh the Drover (Catalogue of Works 1924/2) on 29 October. It is written on music manuscript paper underneath the revised text for Mary which was originally:
