Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Simona Pakenham

Letter No.: VWL3491

[After July 1956]

Dear Simona

As I said, I will not say anything for or against your new bit. I believe Ursula is writing about it.
As to facts however, I do not think it is correct to say that “Sancta”1 is almost forgotten – Of course it is not a best seller like Sea Symph but it has had among other performances 2 or 3 shows at the 3 Choirs 2 as broadcasts – Kripps took it to Rome where it was done in a Latin version made by me & he also took it to America2  & Australia during the last few years – & it was done at the last Leeds Festival (1954?)3
All love

Ralph
