Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to the Rev. Frank Rust
Letter No.: VWL3507
[From R. Vaughan Williams,
10, Hanover Terrace,
Regents Park,
London, N.W.1.]
[July 1958]
Dear Mr Rust-
I am delighted to hear that you are resurrecting the Sons of Light. I thought [they] were quite dead. I do not know whether you will be interested but I have a simplified version of the orchestral score which I am sure the O.U.P. would lend you to look at. It involved a small cut near the beginning of the “moon section” which I think is a great improvement.
[Yours sincerely
R. Vaughan Williams]
