Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Rutland Boughton
Letter No.: VWL3632
From R. Vaughan Williams,
The White Gates,
Westcott Road,
Dorking.
May 12 [after 1945]
Dear Rutland
I’ve been a long time answering your letter – I was wondering what could be done – I have at last had a talk with Miss Glasgow Secretary of Arts Council – & she thinks the Arts Council might help if it was done through some already existing body such as S.Wells or C. Garden – rather cold comfort I fear. If you are by any chance getting up a private fund I shd like to contribute a very small mite.
Yrs
R Vaughan Williams
