Dear Mrs Mitchell

             Confidential.

I am trying to get together a small and select choir (about 30-40 voices) to sing “Bach’s “St. John” Passion in Dorking Church at the end of February.
All the singers must be good musicians and have reasonably good voices. Would you care to join? If so will you come to a preliminary meeting here at 8 o’clock on Thursday, October 24th?
Please treat this as confidential as I do not want to receive applications from anybody unsuitable.
But if you know of any good singers who you think would like to join please let me know.
Yours sincerely
R Vaughan Williams
