Dear Mr. Oldham,
Thank you very much for all your help. The parts are all ready now.
I am afraid I horrified you with my trombones but remember
(1). We have no organ;
(2). Bach often doubles voice parts with trombones.² That fugue subject which comes in “Acis and Galatea” is also in one of Bach’s violin fugues which is also arranged for organ by him.
I think the theme is fairly common property among 18th century composers.
