Dear Nancy,
I have written a piece for chorus and orchestra which has an important mezzo soprano solo.¹ I am showing it to David Willcocks on Thursday, 3rd of September, probably at the R.C.M.² at 2.45. If he accepts it I shall ask for you for the mezzo soprano solo. It would be very nice if you could come and hear it played through by Roy Douglas on that date.
