Dearest Nancy
I am shocked to hear that you have heard nothing from the Halle: I have written to them to blow them up – I do hope it is not too late for you.
Thank you for returning Bryan Davies’ song¹; I ought not to have sent it to you perhaps, because I realise now that it is badly written for the voice, but I think he has something in him, and if he writes anything I think good enough, I will venture to send it to you.
I am so glad you are coming to Dorking. I am glad to hear about Ruth, and I look forward to hearing it in the fulness of time.²
Sorry about the delay in answering, but we only arrived home yesterday from Greece, Italy and France, and we have been moving around so much that no letters were sent on.
