Dear Martin
I hope you have been sharing all year in the book from the hymns for blue eyed babies. – Blessed by Briggs1
Are you sure to be at Worcester? – it would be nice to meet – or you must come here one day when Worcester is over – do see if you can.  My love to all

1. The reference to the ‘hymns for blue-eyed babies’ appears to be a slightly cynical reference to various versions of Songs of Praise and other hymn-books that were produced about this time: in 1930 Hymns for Sunday School Anniversaries and other special occasions (edited by VW, Shaw, Dearmer and Canon George Briggs); in 1929 Songs of Praise for Boys and Girls (Dearmer, VW and Shaw); in 1932 Songs of Praise for Little Children (VW, Shaw, Dearmer and Briggs, with prayers for little children).
