Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Joan Shaw
Letter No.: VWL4544
The White Gates,
Dorking, Surrey.
28th January, 1953.
Dear Joan
Certainly Martin must do the carols himself; he will do them so well and I have so many things to get through at present that I could not touch them for a long time.
I will certainly write something about Martin in a day or two. It will require a little thought, so I won’t do it straight away now.1
Love Ralph
(R. Vaughan Williams).
Mrs. Shaw,
Long Island House,
Southwold, Suffolk.
