This paper is not too fine to tell you that ‘Joanna’1 is packed up ready for posting to Ealing Studios – full score & reduced score! R feels such relief & now he is going to apply himself to the new set of Bach parts.2 Michael Mullinar had begun to help him but was being interrupted – one interruption a very good one for him – He has accepted a post of lecturer from Birmingham University “Extra-Mural Studies”, a safe income & superannuation, and now they will try to find a cottage outside Birmingham.

Tomorrow R has to spend the aftn in London – to present something to Lady Ampthill who is retiring from EFDS3 – that too rather a waste of time – but the car takes him. Ursula comes again for the Sunday.
