1.1. Sargent conducted the Liverpool Philharmonic in the Symphony no.6 on Tuesday 5th October in Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. It was the first performance of the work for the conductor, the orchestra and Liverpool. VW attended a rehearsal a few days before the concert.
