1. This was a BBC Studios event on Friday 28 December 1934, with VW’s Five Mystical Songs; he also conducted Maconchy’s Comedy Overture and Grace Williams’s Two Psalms for Soprano and Chamber Orchestra (first performance, soprano Megan Thomas).
