Letter from Ralph Vaughan Williams to Gerald Cockshott

Letter No.: VWL4757

From R. Vaughan Williams,
10, Hanover Terrace,
Regents Park,
London, N.W.1.

April 26th 1957.

Dear Cockshott,
The slow movement of my A minor quartet is a crib, so its only setting a thief to catch a thief – even if you did crib it, which you didn’t!
I am glad the Americans have turned up trumps.
Kind regards
Yrs
R Vaughan Williams
