Dear Mr Buckland
Thankyou very much for your letter – You don’t tell me anything about yourself – how you are getting on with your musical studies. I see you have changed your address – does this mean a change of work?
I have just received a book by Van Dieren¹ – which I have only had time to glance at – I have only noticed that his quotation “Music is a rum go” which he attributes to Heseltine was really said by Turner to Ruskin years ago & should be “Paintings a rum go”
