Dear Alan,
Thank you for the interesting list of New Zealand Music by R.V.W. to be done next season. I should like very much to hear what other countries are doing when you hear.

1. The letter, present in the archive at OUP, is from William Yates at the New Zealand Broadcasting Service, to Boosey & Hawkes Australia, and lists VW works to be performed as Sir John in Love, Concerto Accademico, On Wenlock Edge, a symphony, a string quartet or violin sonata, a recital of part songs perhaps including “Four Seasons”, a recital of songs for male voice, and brass band music ‘yet to be decided’. In addition there was to be a talk by VW on “The teaching of Parry and Stanford” sent to the broadcasting service from the BBC.
