H. Cohen wants to propose my Concerto for the Phil and Manchester next season.¹
As I once offered it to the B.B.C I want to make quite sure that you do not think you have a claim on it – as you could not give it a date when I did offer it.²
Could I have answer by Thursday when she leaves for America.

1. Harriet Cohen was the dedicatee of VW’s Concerto in C Major for Pianoforte and Orchestra (Catalogue of Works 1931/3).
2. See VWL907. Boult asked Kenneth Wright to reply asking VW to keep the first performance for the BBC, which took place under Boult with the BBC Symphony Orchestra on at the Queen’s Hall on 1st February 1933. See VWL975.
