Letter No.: VWL571
[Early September 1924]
Dear May
I send you back your keys – and thank you again ever so many times for lending us your delightful Marinscote – a white Fantail shared it with us the last day & night –
Yrs affectly
AMVW.
I could not find the visitors book – so R sends this for you to put in if you like.2
1. The VWs had been staying at Mary Fletcher’s house at Oare, Wiltshire. See VWL567.
2. VW had written out the main theme of Flos Campi, which he had composed during this visit, for Mary Fletcher to stick into her visitors book (described in British Library MS Mus. 1714/1/6, ff.158-159 in a letter from Fletcher).
