[About 10 June 1923]
Dear Burnaby,1
Thankyou v. much for your letter
I thought the way you all invented the dances & interpreted the music was wonderful – both in the idea & precision with which it was carried out – Every gesture fitted the music exactly – which I have very seldom seen in a ballet. I shd like to thank every one concerned most heartily
Please keep the Vn copy – may I have the score & parts to keep myself?
Yrs sincerely
R. Vaughan Williams
1. Later Regius Professor of Divinity at Cambridge.
