March 13th [1959]
My dear Edmund,
I do remember the letter you have transcribed, & the clause in Ralph’s will.1 But when we made wills everything, naturally, was left to each other, the fuller disposal of our separate and joint properties would have come into force only if we had both died – in a plane on one of our air-jaunts, or by plague or fire. This, I think, explains the situation. The tuning fork is of course still in my care, till my death.
With greetings
Ursula
