Dear Miss Lasker
I am glad to say that I have at last fixed up with Stainer & Bell & have much pleasure in asking you to write a pianoforte arrangement of my London Symphony for a fee of £35 – 0 – 0.
I am asking S & B to send you a copy of the score – They have not yet made up their minds whether they want it solo or duet – But I will let you know as soon as I hear.1
Yrs sincerely
R. Vaughan Williams
1. Vally Lasker’s arrangement of the symphony for piano solo was published in 1922.
